What Students Gain

What Kids Jiu-Jitsu delivers.

Leverage Beats Size

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most studied martial art for smaller-than-average kids. Technique, not strength, decides outcomes on the mat.

Low Injury, High Skill

No strikes to the face, no knockouts. Live rolling is introduced progressively after technique is solid. Most kids train for years with nothing more than the occasional bump.

A Mat That Earns Respect

Jiu-Jitsu requires partners who care about each other. Kids walk in nervous and within a month they are checking on each other after class.

How We Build Kids

Built around how kids actually develop.

Every kids program keys in on the four stages of childhood development: Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Social. We call it PIES. It is how we structure classes, design drills, and build the relationships that turn a shy four-year-old into a confident kid who walks into school with a quiet sense of who they are.

  • P Physical

Coordination, strength, control of the body.

  • I Intellectual

Focus, problem-solving, learning how to learn.

  • E Emotional

    Confidence, self-regulation, handling setbacks.

  • S Social

    Respect, teamwork, friendship across ages.

Before You Sign Up

Common questions about Kids Jiu-Jitsu in Wichita Falls, TX.

Is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu safe for kids?

Jiu-Jitsu has one of the lowest injury rates of any martial art. No strikes to the face, no knockouts. Live rolling is introduced progressively after the technique is solid.

What is the difference between Gi and No-Gi?

Gi class wears a traditional uniform with grips and a belt. No-Gi class wears shorts and a rashguard. Both teach the same core grappling. We run both every week. Most kids end up training both.

Will my child be ready for competition?

Only if they choose to compete. Most of our kids train for the skill and the discipline. A smaller group competes on Saturdays, and we prepare them carefully when they do.

Does my child need a Gi on day one?

No. Athletic clothes work for the free week. If you decide to continue, we will fit your child with a Gi and walk you through what to buy.
