Dynamic Martial Arts
CLAIM MY SPOT
Veterans, Active Duty & First Responders

Owned and run by a 20-year USAF veteran.
A short drive from Sheppard.

Roger Perez served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He grappled wherever he was stationed. When he came back to Wichita Falls, he opened the academy he wished had been there when he was younger. The mat is open to anyone who has served, anyone serving now, our first responders (police, fire, and EMS), and their families.

Built For The Sheppard Community

Same standards Roger held himself to.

Discipline first, technique second, character before color of belt. The room scales to where your body is right now, not where it was when you were in the best shape of your life. Walk in, train, decide what comes after.

No First-Day Embarrassment

Coming off a deployment, an injury, or a long break. The room is calibrated to where you are. Instructors meet you there.

Real Self-Defense

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most studied martial art on the ground. Practical, leverage-based, and translatable to scenarios that matter.

Community That Shows Up

Veterans, active duty, first responders, and civilians on the same mat. Same standards, same respect. The community holds the room together.

What Students and Parents Say

Reviews from families who have trained with us in Wichita Falls. The longest answers come from the families who have been on the mat the longest.

Before You Walk In

Common questions from veterans, active duty, and first responders.

Is the owner military?

Roger Perez is a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran. He grappled wherever he was stationed during his career and opened Dynamic Martial Arts after returning to Wichita Falls.

How close is the academy to Sheppard Air Force Base?

The academy is at 2005 Kemp Boulevard, a short drive from Sheppard AFB. We serve the Sheppard community along with the rest of Wichita Falls.

I am a first responder. Is this for me?

Yes. Police, firefighters, and EMS train on the same mat as our veterans and active duty members. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is practical, leverage-based control that translates directly to the situations first responders face on the job. Walk in during evening class hours and an instructor will get you started.

Do you offer a military, veteran, or first responder discount?

We recognize everyone who serves: veterans, active duty military, and first responders (police, fire, and EMS). The free first lesson and free week apply to everyone. Specific pricing and any service discount are discussed at the front desk after your free week. Call (940) 202-0905 to ask.

I am coming off a deployment. Can I just walk in?

Yes. Walk in during evening class hours. Instructors will get you started where your body is right now, not where it was five years ago.

Train smart, stay humble
